While there is no way to 100% prevent joint damage or fix arthritis and other concerns, there are certain foods you should work to incorporate into your well-balanced eating habits to keep your hips, knees, and other key joints in tiptop shape. Below are a few examples. Switching up the way you eat might be a hassle at first, but the benefits that come with it are well worth the small sacrifice. As an added bonus, when you focus on consuming whole foods, you might end up losing weight or being more energetic when you exercise, both helpful for keeping unnecessary pressure off of your hips and knees. Brightly colored fruits, like cherries, blueberries, blackberries, and pomegranates, aren’t just delicious—they have also been linked to reducing inflammation and even assisting with gout.
